We are about a month since the incident, and I have escalated these matters, they finally tell me that when the vehicle was found, that there were parts stolen off of it. Just to add to the mix up, once they found the vehicle they only refunded me less than HALF of my overall total spent. Instead they want me to pay for the damages. Then a week later, they found the car, they won't disclose any damages or who the perpatrator was. The owner lied about me not filling the gas to where it was as well and sent a 2nd invoice however that was cancelled by support when i sent pictures showing that i did. After reading these reviews here, I see this is a common scam on Turo. I've contacted turo multiple times through email and phone and keep getting the run around. Thankfully I had my card locked and ended up having my card company cancel my card and reissue me a new one after Turo continuously tried to charge me for something I NEVER did. Turo tried to charge my card for $272 something. A few hours later I get an email from Turo saying the driver just submitted a request for an additional $250 for smoking in the vehicle along with a picture of what looks like may be the end of a Cigar on the center console that I'm sure she placed there after hours of having the car back. Shortly after returning the car I was thanked by the owner of the car and given a positive review.

On July 9th I booked a rental through Turo. I should have checked reviews here before booking a rental. I am not sure why my account is being investigated all of a sudden and now I am punished for goat not showing up lol. I was not able to get a reason why and was told sorry you will receive refund in 10 business days. After speaking to her manager for assistance she told me my account is under investigation keep in mind I am 1st time user and booked months in advance. The representative was having trouble booking this request and put me on hold because she did not know the reason why. Turo then called back stating they had a car for us and all we needed to do was approve over the phone.

After an hour on the phone rep finally was able to find me a car near by and now they were having issues with this host. Then I was told not to worry I will be getting a voucher and free upgrade for this inconvenience. Not only did I have to wait to be approved for an account but the host ended up cancelling when I was at pick up location and the rep on the phone had me wait 30 minutes for nothing. They are by far the worst car rental company. I should have listened to other guests and not signed up for Turo to try and save a couple bucks.
